Design .

We started by making various wooden prototypes of towel rail to extend the drying area on our two oven AGA. Finding our Friends raving about them, we decided that we had to design something better engineered and more professional.

The answer is our design protected folding Cooker-rail.

Although specially made for the AGA, it will fit most stoves with a one inch diameter hand rail.

It is the only clip-on folding rail which does not in any way obstruct the use of the cooker. Even unfolded, the rail is clear of oven doors and hob lids, but can be folded if needed.

Construction .

Construction consists of Hi-tech glass filled Nylon end mouldings which are glued and pressed into a quality stainless steel tube. The basic rail clips onto the existing hand rail, and the second clips onto this, folding upwards and inwards towards the cooker front. Both rails come with rubber ‘o’ rings which help to stop clothes inadvertently falling on to the floor. These can be cut off if not needed.

Fitting .

Our rails fit inside the mounting brackets of the original AGA hand rail, and over the years
this distance has varied with model changes. It is important that when ordering that we
receive an accurate measurement due to this variation. We will then make our rails to fit.

Our rail is NOT at the moment suitable for the De Luxe Model C and CB Cooker 19
model which has the hand rail mounted on top of the brackets. We hope to be able to
offer an adaptation in the near future.

We hope to be able to offer an adaptation in the near future.Using our Cooker-rail
immediately doubles or trebles the area for drying your clothes. Delicate items can
be kept well clear of the cooker front and the air inlets to the burner chamber.
